On 31 August 2026 Pragmatic Play released Gates of Olympus POP, which it presents as the first title in a new POP series aimed at fast, accessible gameplay. The POP brand itself was unveiled a month earlier, at the end of July 2026. The game keeps Zeus and the tumbling-multiplier idea of the Olympus series, but fits them into a much smaller format.
What is different
- A 3×5 portrait layout. Unlike the 6×5 versions, POP uses a compact grid designed for phones, with a smaller, stylised Zeus.
- Multipliers up to 1,000×. Orbs can reach 1,000×. In the bonus they build into a running total that is applied at the end of each tumble sequence.
- POP symbols. When the bonus is triggered, POP symbols award instant prizes of 50×, 500× or 25,000× the stake, depending on how many land.
- Free spins. Three or more scatters award 15 free spins, and two or more extra scatters during the feature add five more.
- RTP and win cap. Pragmatic Play’s game page lists an RTP of 96.54%, and the maximum win is 25,000× the stake.
Why a smaller game
Pragmatic Play’s public relations director described the release as a fresh approach to a flagship franchise, with a streamlined format for fast, intuitive play that suits new and returning players. In practice that means simpler rules than the 6×5 versions: fewer symbols on screen, quicker rounds and a headline prize that appears through a clear trigger rather than a long multiplier build-up.
What to know before you play
POP is a different game rather than a smaller Gates of Olympus 1000, so do not assume that experience with the 6×5 versions transfers directly. The public specifications list neither an Ante Bet nor a Bonus Buy. Operators choose their own RTP profile, so check the info screen, and availability is still growing as operators add the game.
